How do you loose weight on ur legs without getting muscles?

    Walk at a quick pace 45 minutes 4-5 times a week. After several weeks you should begin to notice trimmer legs.

    Really the only way that is to my knowledge to lose fat without gaining muscle is either diet pills or having a harsh diet. This is just from what I know and probably there is a way that is unknown to me.

    By toning them.
    Squats, lunges, etc.
    If you do these exercises without weights then you will most likely not gain muscle..or not much, and loose fat.

    eat smaller portions and excercise but don’t work out so do more running or aerobics rather then going to the gym and doing weight machines

    Hello!
    I know pretty much how you feel, as im a girl and i dont want the bulk that muscles give you.

    Well, as you probably guessed, diet low in fat (but still high in nutrient/minerals) will help your body get rid of the excess leg fat over a long period of time. Fortunately, you can speed up the process immesnely by doing high repetition/low weight exercises (i.e.- muscular endurance training). This is the kind of exercise joggers/runners do, and gives you that lean muscle, rather than bulk. Muscular endurance training allows you to burn the fat but keep the muscle mass to a minimum. You can easily find exercises specifically aimed at your legs (quads, gluteus maximus, soleus etc.) However, you can pretty much do ANY weight training exercise as long as you can do about 14-15 reps. For example, I can do 15 reps of bicep hamstring flexes with 50 lbs. However, I can do 8 reps with 70 lbs. The 15 rep one is MUSCULAR ENDURANCE while the one with 8 reps is MUSCULAR STRENGTH. Alot of people train strength though because they want to high muscle mass.

    When you are trying to loose wait, but not gain muscle, it is the same for ALL areas of the body.

    Don’t use any weight on your workouts, and go for as many repititions as you can, such as on the leg lifts (Low amount of weight ofcourse).

    Well I can’t say that you won’t get -any- muscle, lol. But it won’t make your leg muscles pop out either, lol. About 2 years ago started riding my bike about every other day, sometimes every couple of days (for at least 2 or 3 months) and my legs were toned up quite well. You can’t leisurely ride though if you want to work your muscles and see results. It takes time but its fun and effective. Try about 25 mins of bike riding every other day.
